What the client needed
The system their engineering team and dealers run on every day (ordering, quoting, dealer portal, inventory) was on PHP 5.6 and MySQL 5.0: unpatched for years, impossible to hire for, and holding back every other change they wanted.
What we did
Audited the legacy codebase and schema; rebuilt the application on Laravel 13 with PHP 8.5; migrated the database to MySQL 8 with data validation at every step; replaced the front end with a Next.js application.
Every workflow the engineering team depends on was preserved and verified against the old system in parallel. About eight months, now live.
What it shows
A jump from PHP 5.6 to 8.5 on a business-critical system, without a big-bang rewrite nobody can verify.
