Case study
Wearable QR platform
Backend, scan pages and iOS/Android apps behind a t-shirt with a unique QR code its owner controls — text, photo or video, changeable any time, scannable with no app. Laravel. Delivered to both app stores in three months for a Belgian fashion brand.
At a glance
- Client
- Fashion brand, Belgium
- Stack
- Laravel backend and a web app wrapped for iOS and Android
- Distribution
- App Store and Google Play
- Duration
- Three months
What the client needed
A premium t-shirt printed with a QR code that is unique to each shirt and controlled by whoever owns it. Scanning had to work on any phone with no app; owning had to feel like a consumer app.
What we built
Code generation in print-ready batches with non-guessable IDs; binding a code to a customer at purchase, with reset for lost logins. A fast mobile scan page that resolves the printed code to whatever the owner has published (a short text message, a photo or a video), so the code never changes, only what it shows.
An owner app on the App Store and Google Play, a web app wrapped as native builds, which kept three-month delivery realistic, to log in, upload media, write the message, preview and publish. Media pipeline with transcoding and signed URLs. Owners can set the page private.
What it shows
A physical product made valuable by software, shipped to both app stores in three months.
